1. Overview

These Payment Terms govern all financial transactions processed through the RideNavigator platform ("Platform"). They supplement and are incorporated into the RideNavigator Terms and Conditions and the Driver Agreement. In the event of conflict, these Payment Terms prevail regarding payment matters.

---

2. Payment Processing

2.1 Payment Facilitator Role

RideNavigator is not a financial institution, bank, or money services business. We act as a payment facilitator, enabling transactions between Customers and Drivers through third-party payment processors (which may include Stripe Connect or other payment service providers as designated by the Platform).

2.2 Accepted Payment Methods

The Platform accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other payment methods supported by the designated payment processor in the Customer's region. Available methods may vary by location and are displayed at checkout.

2.3 Currency

Prices are displayed in Swiss Francs (CHF) or the Customer's local currency where supported. Currency conversion, if applicable, is handled by the payment processor or the Customer's financial institution. RideNavigator is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or conversion fees.

---

3. Payment Flow

3.1 Marketplace Model

When a Customer completes a booking, payment is authorized and captured by the designated payment processor. Funds are held within the payment processor's regulated infrastructure until the transfer service is completed. Upon service completion, funds are distributed according to the applicable commission tier. At no point does RideNavigator directly hold, custody, or control Customer funds. All funds are managed within the payment processor's regulated infrastructure.

3.2 Commission Tiers

RideNavigator operates a tiered commission model that rewards Driver growth:

  • **Tier 1 (Starting):** 18% platform commission
  • **Tier 2:** reduced rate, unlocked at the first cumulative turnover threshold
  • **Tier 3:** further reduced rate at the second turnover threshold
  • **Tier 4 (Minimum):** 10% platform commission at the highest turnover threshold

Exact turnover thresholds are published on the Platform and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

3.3 Invoicing Model

RideNavigator issues invoices on behalf of the Driver to the Customer for the full fare amount of each completed booking. RideNavigator then issues a separate commission invoice to the Driver for the applicable commission. Commission amounts are stated net (excluding VAT). Where VAT or equivalent sales tax is applicable to the commission, it is charged in addition to the net commission amount and clearly itemized on the commission invoice. For example: if the applicable commission rate is 18% and VAT at 8.1% applies, the Driver pays 18% commission plus 8.1% VAT calculated on that commission amount.

3.4 Comparison Bookings

For bookings made through the comparison service (third-party transport providers), payment is processed according to the terms of the respective provider. RideNavigator may receive a referral commission from the provider. The Customer's payment relationship is with the third-party provider, not RideNavigator.

3.5 Future Payment Models

RideNavigator may introduce additional payment models in the future, including direct bank transfers, alternative payment processors, or hybrid arrangements. Changes will be communicated with appropriate notice.

4. Pricing

4.1 Fare Composition

The displayed fare includes the base transfer price for the selected route and vehicle class. It may exclude optional extras (child seats, additional stops, meet-and-greet), extended waiting charges, tolls and road charges (where applicable), and applicable taxes.

4.2 Price Confirmation

The final price is confirmed at checkout before payment is authorized. No additional charges will be applied without the Customer's prior approval, except for documented waiting time overages or route changes requested by the Customer during the trip.

4.3 Dynamic Pricing

RideNavigator may implement dynamic pricing that adjusts fares based on demand, time of day, or availability. Any dynamic pricing adjustments are always reflected in the final checkout price before the Customer confirms payment.

5. Refunds

5.1 Cancellation Refunds

Free cancellation up to 12 hours before scheduled pickup results in a full refund. Cancellations within 12 hours are subject to the cancellation policy specified in the Terms and Conditions.

5.2 Service Issues

If the transportation service was not provided as booked (e.g., no-show by Driver, wrong vehicle class, significantly late pickup), the Customer may request a full or partial refund through the Platform's support channel. Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the scheduled booking time.

5.3 Processing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on the Customer's financial institution.

5.4 Dispute Resolution

If a refund request is disputed, the matter will be handled according to the dispute resolution procedures in the Terms and Conditions.

---

6. Chargebacks

6.1 Customer Chargebacks

Customers agree to contact RideNavigator support before initiating a chargeback with their financial institution. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any payment dispute directly.

6.2 Driver Responsibility

Where a chargeback results from a service issue attributable to the Driver (e.g., no-show, service not rendered, quality complaints), the Driver may be held financially responsible for the chargeback amount and any associated processing fees.

6.3 Fraudulent Transactions

RideNavigator implements fraud detection measures. Suspected fraudulent transactions may be flagged, delayed, or declined. Accounts involved in fraudulent activity will be immediately suspended.

---

7. Driver Payouts

7.1 Payout Accounts

Drivers must maintain an active payout account connected to the Platform through the designated payment processor. RideNavigator is not responsible for payment processor account issues, holds, or verification delays.

7.2 Payout Timing

Payouts follow the schedule configured with the applicable payment processor (typically 2–7 business days after service completion, depending on region and processor schedules).

7.3 Minimum Payouts

The payment processor may impose minimum payout thresholds. Amounts below the threshold are accumulated until the threshold is met.

7.4 Tax Documentation

Drivers are responsible for providing accurate tax information to the payment processor as required. RideNavigator does not issue tax forms or withhold taxes for Drivers.

---

8. Financial Liability Limitations

8.1 No Guarantee

RideNavigator does not guarantee uninterrupted payment processing. Temporary payment system outages, processor service disruptions, or network failures may delay transactions.

8.2 Liability Cap

RideNavigator's liability for payment processing errors is limited to the amount of the affected transaction.

8.3 No Interest

RideNavigator does not pay interest on any funds held or processed through the Platform, whether in transit, pending, or otherwise.

---

9. Anti-Fraud Measures

9.1 Verification

We may require additional identity or payment verification for high-value bookings, unusual transaction patterns, or new accounts.

9.2 Account Holds

RideNavigator and/or the payment processor may place temporary holds on payouts if fraud is suspected, a chargeback is pending, or the account is under review. Affected users will be notified.

---

10. Modifications

These Payment Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
